The association Amics del Museu del Càntir was created to take care of the museum as of its inauguration in 1975. It was created by the people who took care of the organization of the "Festa del Càntir" and new members were gradually incorporated.

Currently the Friends of the Museu del Càntir collaborate with the museum in the organization of the "Festa del Càntir" on the day of Santo Domingo (August 4th), especially in the "putting" of botijos, the children's games with botijos and the raised one of botijos. During the rest of the year they also collaborate with the museum, especially through their participation in the governing bodies of the Board, but also with the purchase and donation of historical copies for the museum's collections.
